Today was a beautiful day here in Ohio. The temp. got to 60 and I was lovin' being out on the back porch with Tim and the cats.
Tim said he was going to rake the leaves in the back yard, and said he had two rakes. I said to him, I't a good thing you have two hands.
I helped with some of the raking. I added more leaves to the strawberry plants as they were peeking out of the leaves we covered them with, last week.
We finished cleaning up the leaves which meant we could go back to the porch and sit down again with a cup of coffee. The cats joined us as well.
Yesterday I took a picture of my Christmas Cactus. It loves the south window. It is covered with buds and flowers. The white cactus has some buds on it too.
This is the card I made for Monday's two challenges. One was to stencil with a darker ink of the same color of card stock. The second challenge was to make a tag. I used Stampin' Up stencils which they call masks, from the holiday catalog. Then I stamped the moose and used the punch to punch him out. I put dimensionals behind him and the tag. The tag has the navy/crumb cake combo.
This is Tuesday's color challenge. Our colors today were, pretty peacock, lovely lipstick, so saffron, pumpkin pie. I stamped the snowmen in memento tuxedo black ink. I colored the snowmen. I cut out the top, left snowman and put dimensionals under him to give it dimension. I colored the background and added white liquid applique to the snow.
I was busy making scarves today. I made this OSC scarf and added fringe to it. I did a single crochet stitch to keep the stitches closer and keep you warmer.
The brown scarf is made from thick, soft yarn. I added fringe to this as well.
Verse of the Day: Psalm 103:1-2
Here's a song by Rend Collective called, Your Name is Power. Give it a listen.
Blessings of the Day: Today we got the leaves and the winterizing done outside. We got our nativity put up outside also.
I got another scarf finished to be donated and added fringe to two scarves.
Tim and I cooked a new recipe together tonight. BK-before kids, we used to cook together all the time. We changed a few things and know what we want to try next time. My good friend, Emily gave me the recipe. We had it at her house the other night. When I brought the recipe home Tim said, it was the same recipe Emily brought over last year when she came for dinner. He said he loved it!
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom
