Happy Birthday to my dear sister, Patty! December is a month of birthdays for family and friends. Patty's is today. Her husband, Allen is the 6th. A dear friend's is on the 10th. My twin and I are the 13th. Sarah's birthday is the 30th. Then another friend is Jan 2nd and Tim's is Jan 3rd.
Here are a couple of Thanksgiving cards I made this year. I love this retired Stampin' Up stamp set. I played around with the design. I put tear n tape down then the ribbon on top of that. I love how quickly that worked. I was able to use small scraps of the Gather Together designer paper. The sentiment was added with dimensionals behind.
I liked the star idea but after making one layer, it looked like it needed a second layer. So I added a second layer and added two small circles and a rhinestone in the center.
I started with a 1 1/4" circle to put the first layer of trees on.
This was a fun sketch challenge. I stamped, colored and cut out the squares. I dry embossed the early espresso. I added the squares and sentiments to the card. I added the flock then the liquid applique and heated the liquid applique with a heat tool.
I saw this posted on FB and just had to share it! This really made me laugh.
Ohio State 56 Michigan 27
Oh my, what a game today! Ohio State went to Michigan to play a game of football. Ohio State is still undefeated! It was a fun game to watch for me and Tim. This team wins. We're from Cleveland where we haven't had a winner in a while. This is an amazing group of young men being coached by and incredible man; Ryan Day. This is his first year with this team and they are giving all they've got. It was a joy to watch the game and I have to tell you, it was fun to watch the Michigan fans.
Here is the book I'm reading. I belong to a Christian book reading group on Facebook. A friend of mine told me about it. So I've been reading a bit more with all these suggestions from this group. I've just started this book, so I don't have an opinion on it yet.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 5:33
With this being the first of December, I thought I'd share one of my favorite Piano Guys videos.
Blessing of the Day: I got to see Frozen 2 with Ben, Rachel, Zoey, Kaelynn and Brianna. It was a great movie. We sat in those theater seats that recline. When I'd reach for popcorn that Ben was holding, my left arm would bump the control, and I'd move...I had to scoot to the far right of my chair to get it to stop. The girls really loved it.
I also got errands run and got the Thanksgiving things put away. Today Tim and I will put up the tree and decorate. We'll see how far we get.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom
