Snow, Snow, Go Away......

Once again here in Cleveland, Ohio, we have intermittent snow with dark skies.

This is a card that's called a quilt card. You need 5 pieces of dsp that go together. I chose the poppy paper from Stampin' Up. You cut the paper card size. I used 5 1/4" x 4".  You cut off one corner and place it on the table. You turn the paper and cut again, and so on. Place papers together so it looks like a 5-piece puzzle when you are done. Choose a pattern that's easy to see how it should fit together.

Start with 1 pile and flip one piece of paper to the bottom. The next one you flip two pieces, and so on. When you are finished you should have 5 different papers on top. Put the pieces together as your background and go from there to decorate. You can add a sentiment, image or ribbon.
Here's the display I made for my classes this week. I demonstrated that for the music stamps, you don't have to have just black notes. I stamped in different, bright colors for a background, then cut it in half to make 2 cards.
I love the one with the records. I used a punch with black paper. The centers are dsp. This is a quick, easy card.
Here is the card for the featured stamper challenge on SCS.
Here is my inspiration.

I kept the color palette the same. I changed the image stamp and reduced the size of it. I colored the ribbon with a copic marker to match the Poppy Parade in the dsp. I used images and sentiments that were on added paper instead of being stamped on the main panel. I added gold to the card with ribbon instead of heat embossed or gold paper. I loved this darling inspiration image.

This is one of my winter mugs. I have mug collections for fall, Christmas, Snowmen and winter, and Valentine's day.  This mug makes me smile every time I see it.

Another scarf for Laura's Home. I love that these go directly to women and children who have been displaced. These are people who sometimes come with nothing to this center for help.

It's amazing the lies we believe. Satan is so crafty to tell us exactly what will distract and hurt us.  Don't believe it! You were made my God, you are not a mistake. You have a purpose on this earth. God made you because only you can do what he needs you to do. You are special.  You are precious to God.

This is a song that is something we need to take in and believe. There are so many lies that circulate and infiltrate our brain.  Claim this song. Use it when you are feeling low or discouraged.

Blessing of the day
Tim and I got lots of errands done today. We got haircuts, went grocery shopping, stopped at the post office, then dropped a book at the library.  I'm praising God because we don't usually get past 2 errands before he wants to go home.

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
