Crafter's of Faith Challenge Time May 7, 2020

Today on Splitcoaststampers, is the day we post our cards for Crafters of Faith.

Here is the challenge for this month.
May 2020: Hostess/Barb

Scripture-Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Challenge: Make a project that showcases strength that you have received from your faith. Or, something that you are not strong at, but are working to be better! It could be an image, a technique, style of card—anything you want to highlight.
I made this card because some days it's so hard to be strong being at home. It makes me want to complain more which doesn't help things. So I'm working on being more positive. This is a great reminder.

This is a FREE digital image from Impression Obsession. They have many that have been released just for this time in history. Take a look at the other FREE images.

This card was for the Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
When I saw these colors,  crushed curry, rich razzleberry and flirty flamingo, I immediately thought of flowers. I made a card for my mom. She is in a nursing home so I haven't been able to see her since the middle of March. I wanted something bright and colorful.
I colored the flowers and leaves with my water brush using ink from lids of ink pads. I punched the flowers and leaves out. I cut a wreath shape of paper for the base of the wreath. I added the flowers and leaves. I tied the bow then added the sentiment and enamel dots.

This was for the sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
I stamped the image two times on designer series paper and cut out the cup and saucer separately. I traced the edges with a blue copic marker B52. I layered circles using the 2" and Starburst punches. I dry embossed the celery piece of paper. I attached the paper to the card base. Then I added the vanilla lace. I layered the cup on top of the lace. I added the sentiment. I colored the coffee in the cup with Copic Marker E47.

This is a Bleeding Heart plant. My mom had these in her yard while I was growing up. I loved these and was fascinated by the flowers it had. Only God could make something so amazing! I will send this to my mom to remind her of flowers she used to have.

These are my Lily of the Valley plants. Last year they didn't bloom. When I talked to my mom about it, she said they sometimes need a year to rest and they'd bloom this year. She was right, they are beginning to bloom. I want to send this to her to let her know she was right.
Mom had these in her garden as well.

Give a listen to this powerful message.

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 23:4

Blessing of the Day: Today I got some cards done. I finished making another scarf. I also got to Facetime with a dear friend.  Thank you God for watching over Tim and I today.

Thanks for stopping by.
