What's This World Coming To?

This is what I needed today. I was feeling so sad and down. All around me I read about the violence and senseless death and destruction. A friend told me her husband is a manager at a large retail store. A woman asked to be escorted to her car and she asked that the police be called. She said she'd been to two other stores in the area and the same man followed her with her small children. The other two stores wouldn't help her by calling the police. This manager called the police. When they arrived and saw a black man, they said they'd been instructed not to confront him, they couldn't do anything for her.

It turns out, the black man was doing this to cause an incident with the police! He wanted to start something. What's wrong with people?

Can you believe that's what things have come to?  Obviously her husband was livid! Not sure what he did, but I know what I would have done. Anyway, you can see why this helped me today. I'm so thankful that God is always with me.

Here's my sweet Phoebe. She loves to rub her head on the bedpost.

She also likes to stand with two paws on the bed frame. When she's feeling energetic, she jumps up on the frame and walks on it like it's a balance beam! She's so cute to watch.

This is an idea I saw on FB this week. You take an individual sized graham cracker crust and put pieces of Hershey chocolate bars in it, then add mini marshmallows. Then you bake it in the oven at 350 and eat it like Smores!  Brilliant, isn't it?  I'm going to  have these for the kids for the 4th of July.

Here is the inspiration for my card: 

I did a watercolor wash with Tempting Turquoise and Bermuda Bay. With Bermuda Bay I drew small lines. I stamped the flowers with Blueberry Bushel and drew the inside lines with Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker. I dry embossed the background with Ornate Floral embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment then used Tasteful Dies for it. I added Holiday Catalog navy rhinestones to the card.

This is a 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, One Sheet Wonder. I just love this new paper from a pack called, Flowers For All Seasons. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers.  This will be part of a One Sheet Wonder class I'll offer soon.

Blessings of the Day: Tim made an incredible meal tonight. Ravioli with beef, white sauce and garlic bread. Pasta is one of my favorite meals.

I got some jobs done that I've been putting off. I felt so good once those jobs weren't hanging over my head. Isn't that the way?

Tim's got the cement board up and almost ready to begin putting tile on the bathroom walls!
