This is for the Crafters of Faith Challenge.
June 2020: Hostess/Jeanette
Scripture: Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Challenge: This has long been one of my favorite Bible verses because it reminds me that I can do things in God’s power. I do not need to be fearful. God will equip me. For this month’s challenge, I’d like you to think of some paper-crafting technique, fold, or some other thing that you’ve been fearful of trying and let go of the fear and give it a try! (And no, that's not what I think Phil. 4:13 is speaking of, just in case you wondered. )
I've been doing 6" x 6" and 8 1/2" x 11" One Sheet Wonders. I challenged myself to conquer a 12" x 12" One Sheet Wonder AND think of my own ways to arrange pieces on each card instead of following the patterns shown. It took longer, but I'm happy with the results!
I found that I could cut the gold borders from the rectangle pieces and use them as borders on my cards.
In order to make this One Sheet Wonder, I stamped on the 12" x 12" paper then cut it into pieces to use. I usually take designer series paper and make a one sheet wonder. This was fun to do.
Can you say, GORGEOUS! I was truly amazed at the beauty of this paper called, A Flower For Every Season p. 11 and p. 148 of the new Stampin' Up catalog. Each piece you see has another pattern on the back. This is a 6" x 6" paper pack with 48 sheets; 4 of each of 12 double-sided designs.
The original One Sheet Wonder can be found here.
Here's what the layouts should look like on your background cardstock.
This is a sampling of the cards made from this pattern.
Verse of the Day:John 16:33 This is so reassuring especially now with COVID-19, demonstrations and looting. God we need you!
Here's a video by Colton Dixon called, Miracles. Give it a listen.
Blessings of the Day:
Tim and I got the grass cut. The kids came to swim this afternoon. Everyone brought something for dinner. Ben and Tim cooked hot dogs, brats and hot sausage dogs. We kept our distance in the pool and eating.
It was wonderful to talk and catch up with the kids. I so love these times when the kids come over.
My kids are my most precious blessing from God, along with Tim.
Tim and I know that if we feed them, they will come! When it's hot, they will come! Sometimes just sitting in the pool is all I need to relax. I know I am blessed so much by God each and every day.
Sometimes I wonder why God puts up with me and all I do that disappoint Him. He's such a loving Father. I'm so glad He's my Father!
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom
