Here was our challenge from Kelly this month.
July 2020: Hostess/Kelly
Scripture: Psalm 33:12 (KJV) Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Challenge: July is often remembered for the 4th of July, backyard BBQ's, picnics and school being out for the summer! Let's take a moment to reflect that it also means a great freedom for all of us and celebrate spiritually as well. Create a card/project with a flag somewhere on it - either a stamp, die cuts, the colors red/white/and blue!
I used paper from Lawn Fawn, Beachside-Pint-sized Patterns.
I cut strips to 1/4" x 6" then layered them next to each other in a pattern. When it was finished, I cut the strips of paper that were hanging over the edge then dry embossed with a quilt pattern embossing folder.
Then I layered it on night of navy cardstock. That was layered on a white card base. I printed the text out from the computer and added night of navy cardstock behind it.
I found this technique on Lisa Curcio's blog.

I hope you have a chance to do this type of card.
