For Today July 16, 2020

For Today July 16th, 2020 I know what day it is now. I had to ask Tim what day of the week it was! Being at home here where not much changes, it's hard to remember what day it is.

This is where it all began

Looking out my window, it is early morning and still dark. I am making greeting cards with a stamp called, Beautiful Friendship.

I am thinking, I need to go to sleep soon.

I am thankful that Tim was able to fix the washer. It wasn't able to drain. Thank goodness for YouTube. With it he was able to see the problem. He found the foil top to the ketchup bottle stuck perfectly over the hole the water needed to drain through.  WHAT?

My question to him was, How in the world does that foil top get into the washer in the first place? That's the great mystery in our house today! LOL

One of my favorite things is listening to the birds sing before they go to sleep for the night.
I was in the pool tonight. Between 8:00 and 8:45 the birds chirp and sing as though it's the last they'll say for the day.  By 8:45 they are all nestled in their trees and nests fast asleep.

I am creating greeting cards with Beautiful Friendship, a Stampin' Up stamp set.

I am wearing PJ's. It's definitely time to go to bed.

I am listening to quiet piano music right now.  When I swim in the pool I listen to Danny Gokey. One of my favorite songs right now is, Craziest Thing. He sings of how it's so hard to believe how much God loves him in spite of his actions. Give it a listen. It's a very encouraging song.

I am hoping this COVID thing doesn't shut down our state again. We are near level 4 here in Ohio. It's so sad that some people have made this political, or about their rights!  They say they have the right to not wear a mask. It has nothing to do with rights. It's all about responsibility. We are responsible for ourselves and others. We need to slow this virus down until a vaccine is made.

I am learning that the less news I hear from the world, the better I feel.

In my kitchen we've had simple meals this week, as I have classes.

In the school room my DH and I watched a show about Stalin and how cruel he was. It showed labor camps in Siberia. Many of the people were sentenced to at least 10 years there. There was the possibility that you could have time added to that for no reason at all.

In my garden the butterfly bushes are blooming. They are attracting butterflies and hummingbirds alike.

A moment from my day-A friend of mine stamped together today and made a few cards from her Pinterest board. What fun we had. The card we made was made by a gal from the UK. Their cards are larger than ours, so we had to figure out measurements for an A2 card. I think they came out great!

I hope you find peace in your day.

Here is a song by Lauren Daigle called, Look Up Child.  I know I've had this here before, but I needed to hear these words today. Maybe you do too.

Thank you for stopping by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom
