Wildflower Birthday 12" x 12" One Sheet Wonder

I love to make One Sheet Wonders. It doesn't matter if they are for 12" x 12" designer series paper, 6" x 6" paper or 8 1/2" x 11" paper. I love cutting designer series paper in different ways to make a set of cards. I used one of my new favorite designer series papers called Wildflower Birthday. This paper has gold in it plus a beautiful mix of colors. It also has ephemera which can be used on cards, tags or even scrapbook pages.

I followed the directions from Mary Knabe to design the layout of the birthday cards. Her One Sheet Wonder made 7 cards.  I placed the ephemera where I wanted with the birthday greeting.  I have to say I'm pretty happy with how these came out.

What made this very easy was I used Pretty in Pink for all 7 card bases.  I didn't have to, but I like how it looks.  I also used Blueberry Bushel paper as my layer for each card.  I used Blueberry Bushel for the ink on each card.

If I were to do this again, I'd probably mix it up and use the different colors from the designer series paper for card bases and behind layers on the cards.

See what you think about these cards.

Blessings,

Sue

The two punches used for sentiments were Labeled With Love and Keeping Tabs.

Labeled With Love                                                Keeping Tabs

I want to show you how I used each of the punches to make the tags for the sentiments. It may give you some ideas of how you can use your punches for more than the way they were designed to be used. I've used blue lines to show where the paper was cut.

I cut the Keeping Tabs punch in half and stamped with the straight edge at the top and tucked it behind the flowers.

I turned the Labeled With Love Punch sideways and stamped my sentiment then I cut it in half.

I stamped and cut the Keeping Tabs piece in half and placed it as it was originally intended, like a file tab.

These two cards I used the Keeping Tabs Punch and cut straight across to form a rectangle. I used both halves the same way.
