Something Fishy Here

 Hey Everybody,

Beverly's challenge for us can be found here.

I stamped and colored the fish with copic markers. Then I used a blending brush to add color to the surrounding area around the fish. I used a 1" circle punch and a circle die to make holes in my card front. I stamped the plants at the bottom and colored them. I blended balmy blue and misty moonlight on the card front trying to make the bottom of the card a bit darker. I added paper glaze to the goggles of the large fish. I added two-tone sparkle gems to the water for some sparkle.

Keywords: TLC1061
Stamps: Your Next Stamp-Snorkel Fun Fishy, Colorado Craft Company-Swimming by
Paper: white, balmy blue
Paper Size: A2
Ink: memento tuxedo black, old olive, balmy blue, misty moonlight
Accessories: blending brushes, Aleen's paper glaze, Two-tone sparkle gems, Copic Markers, 1" circle punch, circle die
Techniques: coloring, blending with brushes, generational stamping
When I looked for fish I couldn't believe these were the only two I had. I guess that's because most fish aren't cute. The top stamp I bought and the smaller Colorado Craft Stamp I won!  Anyway it made me wonder if I need to go in search of fish stamps that are cute?

I'll tell you though, through doing these challenges, it's allowing me to USE what I HAVE. It makes me feel good that things aren't just sitting in my stash.  They are going in and out all the time.
Doesn't it make you grateful that you can use your stamps, ribbon and paper to make cards that bring you and others, Joy?

Well, I won't keep you any longer. By now you may be ready to look into your stash for something fun to play with. Send that card to someone who could really use it. I'm sure it will bless them and make their day.
You will be blessed as well. Who doesn't like receiving a card for no reason other than someone was thinking of them.
Thanks for peeking in today.
Blessings,
Sue

What a delightful underwater scene! The way you brought the fish to life with Copic coloring and then created such a vivid, layered background with blending is truly impressive. I love how the punched circles add interest and depth—almost like we’re peeking through little portholes into a bustling aquatic world. The paper glaze on the goggles and those sparkle gems are the perfect whimsical touches. It’s such a joy to see you embracing your stash and transforming it into something that radiates fun and creativity!
