What's On My Desk?

 Hey Everybody,

I  was just playing with random images and paper I had out on my desk today. Sometimes some of my best ideas come from random piles on my desk. LOL

This card came about like this.
I chose the pigeon image which had already been colored. Then I looked online to see what others had done with these stamps.  This is one of the ideas I saw.
I had the metallic paper on my desk so I used that or I would have sponged clouds on my cardstock. I added the metallic paper to a balmy blue card base so it would look a bit like sky.

Instead of stamping the brick wall, I dry embossed it and ran two colors of ink over it. The two colors were Terracotta tile and cajun craze. I colored the debossed side of the card stock.

I turned my card horizontal instead of vertical to be able to use more of the wall.
Once the wall and bird were added with dimensionals I tried to decide what to do for a sentiment.

I decided to use daffodil delight cardstock.(It was out on my desk.)  I looked at the stamps in my new Stampin' Up© set called, The Right Words, and found the sentiment that I thought was perfect for the look on the bird's face.

I added linen thread to the sign and attached it with dimensionals. I added a black gem to make it look like a nail that the sign was hanging on.

While I'm looking at the sample I have a new idea to make a similar card with a landscape in the background and put a cape on the pigeon! LOL
I could turn him into a super hero of some sort.  Oh how silly we can get when the evening gets late.

Well that's my card for today and the process I used to put it together. How do you put your cards together? What do you start with, an image, a sentiment, designer paper?  Let me know.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Sue
