Revised Shaving Cream Technique

 Hey Everybody,

I have a new video for your today. It's a remake of an old technique and your hands stay nice and clean! LOL

It's a remake of the shaving cream technique.  I originally was working on a card for the Splitcoaststampers challenge and wanted to use the shaving cream technique, but didn't want the mess of placing my cardstock into the shaving cream then pulling it out.

I'd seen videos of people using a similar technique with a scraper, but I found it was even easier for me with a plastic knife.

Here are the supplies you'll need for this technique.

Shaving cream

reinkers

paper plate

container for used shaving cream

plastic knife

towel

cardstock-You can use an 8 1/2" x 11" piece and make 4 cards or just use smaller pieces 4" x 5 1/4" or 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

washable surface or paper to cover your surface

utensil to mix shaving cream-I used a bone folder

Check out the video here.

Here's the inspiration for my card.

Here's the finished product.

Here's the challenge Denise had for us today.

I started with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of white cardstock. I squirted shaving cream onto a paper plate then added reinkers that were pretty in pink, pool party and balmy blue. I stirred the shaving cream with my plastic knife.

I took small amounts of shaving cream with my knife and spread it across my cardstock. When the whole piece was covered, I used the knife to scrape it off into a container.

I added more of the shaving cream and reinker mixture where it was still a bit white, then scraped it off again.

Once dry, I stamped using pretty in pink, pool party and balmy blue inks onto the paper to make it look similar to my inspiration.

I added my white ribbon and a bow then my gems. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you liked this technique. I hope your give it a try.

Let me know what you think.

Blessings,

Sue
