Masking-What is it? How to do it.

Hey Everybody,

Ardyth's choice for featured stamper is Hannah. The challenge can be found here.

Here is the card that was my inspiration.

I kept the orientation horizontal but added an additional Hippo. I used a different hippo from the same stamp set. I masked the hippos and put them in a line to perform their ballet. I liked Hannah's use of pink, purple and flowers. So, I added a designer series paper background with flowers and added pink tutus and ballet slippers. The hippo's nails are a light shade of purple, as is the paper behind the image panel. I colored the image with Copic Markers and added clear Wink of Stella to the tutus. I made my card a birthday card and used the sentiment from Sweet Jar.

Have you done masking before? Here's a video I did a while ago to describe what masking is and how to get great results.

.

Here are some other samples I've done that show the masking technique.

If you have any questions about masking, let me know.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Blessings,
Sue
