Well it's been a beautiful weekend and it's back to work. I have struggled much today with praying for my sister. I want to pray for God's will in this situation, but I'm afraid what God's will might be. I am really struggling with this so I made some cards which reminded me he's in control and I need a peace about all of this.
This bird is from SU's Song Bird set. I used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color all but the background. The background and grass were colored with a stipple brush. The bird was masked(covered) and I stippled 3 different colors of ink into the sky. The grass has two colors of green. I used cheesecloth background in bordering blue. I crimped apricot paper and added the dotted cranberry ribbon. Using my white pen I added dots to the frame around the bird. Yellow stickles was added to the candles.

This card is lovely. It is hard to pray for God's will, isn't it? I know that I often struggle with this in my own life - I just want to tell God what to do rather than allowing my heart to be molded according to His will. But we serve a gracious, loving God who is willing to work with his stubborn children :)
