A Peaceful Day

Today we've had mild weather, about 75 degrees. It was a beautiful day to get outside. Kids were in the pool and I had time to read outside and have some coffee. I also had some time to stamp two cards. One was for my step-daughter's graduation from High School, and the other was for Inspiration Challenge from yesterday. I enjoy layering cards so that's what I did with the sunflower. I stamped the flower in several different colors even though you can't see it here. I also added the leaves and cut them all out. I used dimensionals to place the sunflower on the card. The background was spring garden. I stamped the grass in two different colors then used the flower from watercolor minis (a la Kittie) and stamped blue and yellow flowers in the grass. I then used a cotton ball in ballet blue and did the edges and to the center in blue. I think I will add some sparkles to the flower centers.

The graduation card is silver put through the cuttelbug. Then I used navy, silver and only orange to make the card parts. These are the school colors. I punched out little stars in navy and orange and randomly glued them to the silver and the card front. I used silver ep on the 07 so it would stand out on the navy cs. I hope she likes it.
