Today was hectic. We finished getting school supplies and clothes. We also went to the orthodontist so Ben could get his braces on. He set the record for the length of time it took to put his braces on and how many fell off. 8 fell off while we were there and 1 more fell off during dinner. An hour and a half visit turned into a 3 hour visit. It's a good thing I brought my watercolor crayons and pictures to color.
Tonight we had orientation for 5th graders and those new to the middle school. The kids feel better knowing where their lockers are and they can open them. They will have lots of help adjusting to all of the changes that middle school brings. Again, I don't doubt for a second that God is there pulling things together for a wonderful first day for my children.

This is a card I did today using the technique called Emerging Color. There is a step by step set of instructions on Splitcoaststampers.com that Beate made. It's very easy to follow. Thanks Beate. This is Fabulous Flowers stamp set used. I also tried making a double step corner. I like the effect.
