Simplifying...I'm going to try it

FOR TODAY November 4th...
Outside My Window...I see leaves falling, I hear birds happily chirping as though it were spring again. Don't they know that winter is near?
I am thinking...that my kids continue to grow and change....each year seems to go by so quickly.
I am thankful for...God as the center of my life and a spouse who truly loves and helps me through life. He and God have given me two wonderful gifts in children.
From the learning rooms...I just finished teaching adults how to teach children. New techniques that are quick and easy are so helpful.
From the kitchen...I am learning that food has its place in life but shouldn't be be the center. I eat to live....not live to eat.
I am wearing...jeans, my staff button-down shirt and clogs.
I am creating...cards for my card ministry at church which will meet in a week.
I am going...to find a new book to read. I love reading and love to be lost in a fictional place.
I am reading...by Bible and The power of a Praying Wife. It is the third time I've been through it, but my prayers for my husband continue on and this makes it so easy to be specific. I need to find another good fiction book to get lost in.
I am hoping...that my children continue to look to God for their direction in their lives, and pray for His will as well.
I am hearing...some soft Christian music which encourages me in all I do.
Around the house...it is quiet now but we fill this house with cheerful noise most of the time.
One of my favorite things...is to watch videos of the kids when they were little. We watch together and have such a wonderful time laughing and reliving their past.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:I need to design more cards for the card ministry and I have to get lesson plans done for next week. I need to find a book to read, and send some cards to those who need some cheering up in their day.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...The sunflower is one of my favorite flowers because of it's bright colors and the contrast in the yellow and green. It also reminds me of the Son who made the sun and the sunflower and how amazing it is to witness the glory he put here on earth for us. We take some things so for granted. Many a morning, as I go into work, I stop to admire the art the creator has put in front of me whether it's in the sky, the bird's song, or in a part of nature he brings to me. Think of all the sunrises and sunsets God has painted for us. What a blessing it is to start or end the day with these magnificent sights!

Here is my ornament for the new technique challenge on SCS. I made several circles with the punches, now I have to do something with them. This one I turned into an ornament by cutting a scallop square in half and putting it on the top of the circle. Then I threaded ribbon through the hole in the top, and presto, I had an ornament. I also added heat and stick powder to the background and added dazzling diamonds using my snowflake stamps.

I'm feeling a little better and went to work to do my presentation today in front of my peers.(20 to be exact). I'm exhausted now and will probably go to sleep early tonight. Thank you for stopping by. I feel so blessed by your visit.

Hello My Dear Friend...

Imagine my surprise after being down for a couple of days without a monitor to find your sweet comment. I actually have a plan and begin blogging again... only to have it all thrown out the window! {LOL}

Thrilled to see you've opted to join this wonderful Daybook group. There are so many facets to us as people other than just stamping. {HUGS}

Have a day as special as yourself.

L & H,
-A. :)

Hope your feeling better?! Love all your beautiful creations you've been up to!
