Top Note Purse in Faux Alligator

Finally I have time to post some things I've been working on! whew, has it been HOT here in NE Ohio! I'm not complaining mind you. I've made good use of my screened in porch lately. This weekend has been just beautiful!
So it was hard to be inside to make things, but here's my faux alligator purse. I had tried this technique before and it didn't work as well as this and now I know why. Stampin' Up's clear embossing powder is thick like my Ultra Thick Embossing Powder so you can easily see the lines you draw through the embossing powder.

This is a super fun technique. You stamp all the cardstock with versamark. Then sprinkle SU clear embossing powder on them. Use your bone folder to draw lines through the embossing powder. Shake off any extra then emboss You get a pretty design. I've seen also that some people rub craft ink that matches the color of cardstock they've used so the faux alligator isn't shiny.
This purse is made with three top notes and ribbon. Maybe I'll do a video on this one.

My upline and I had so much fun making these. We used vanilla cardstock and applied rose red ink with a duaber. We used marigold paper for the tulips and punched them out using the wide oval punch. The wide oval punch was cut in half to make the small pieces behind the front part of the tulip. The tulips were edged with rose red as well. The leaves were garden green paper put into the crimper on a diagonal. I folded the paper and cut small leaves to add to the flower pot. I added paper stems and a pretty border for the pot. Maybe a video for this is in the works too.

This is a simple 3x5 spiral notebook that I made for 5 teachers who are coming to our building next year because their building is closing. This tablet will go into a cut box I made and will be given to the teachers when they visit next month.

Thank you for visiting here today. What a fun time I've had stamping and creating this weekend. I am counting down the days until summer vacation. I believe we're at 32!
Hope, did you see that? 32 more days of school! LOL
