Monday-Tuesday Days Off For Me

Here's my card for using bashful blue, pumpkin and saffron. This was for todays color challenge using bashful blue, saffron and pumpkin.
I used the top note cut out on shiny paper and embossed white embossing powder on it. Then I spritzed water on it and added saffron and pumpkin reinkers to the flowers. I also added a bit of bashful blue with my marker once it was dry. Then I put piece through the cuttlebug for texture.

The technique lovers challenges on SCS are some of my favorites since I constantly learn something new there. Here are some cards that I made using my fav design paper, Raspberry Tart.

Check out TLC222 today for the cute, cute, cute hinged card. Then check out Wendy's video here to make it.

I used raspberry tart design paper from SU. I also used pocket silhouettes stamped in pomegranate then 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds on the flowers. I also used build a brad and used designer paper in it.

Monday was a nice and relaxing day for us. I worked on stamping and challenges. We had beautiful weather here in Ohio. Sunny and cool....we spent a lot of time outside on our screened in porch in the backyard. The only thing that would make it more perfect would be a hammock.
DH will probably get one for Father's Day. SHHHH, don't tell!

Today was busy with doctor visits...........Eye doctor first and I think he finally got the right combination of contact lenses for me to see close-computer-far!
When I put the new lens in it was like, YES, I can see! I have bi-focal soft lenses in and it's been a trip trying to get them adjusted to help me see at different ranges.

Next stop was the orthopedic doctor. After waiting 40 minutes we saw her and she was able to tell me that my pain was arthritis, bursitis and ligament pain. She gave me a coritzone shot in the hip and I'm to keep it iced for a couple of days. She said there's not way to tell when surgery will be needed. It depends on the progression of the arthritis in the hip. So we go along this way as long as it works.

Next stop to pick up my good friend's son at school and bring him home to chill out with my kids for a bit.

Next stop the dentist so both kids can see the dentist now that braces are off.

Next stop home to eat dinner that DH made........YUM--Doesn't matter what it is, anything you don't have to cook is always delicious isn't it?

Next stop take good friend's son home...........His mom's surgery didn't go as planned.
They were late getting her into surgery since the one ahead of her ran into trouble.
When they got her in they found they'd have to do a full knee replacement but since this was a worker's comp surgery it has to be okayed..........they got pictures to prove it's necessary. My friend had to come home only to do this again another day!!! Sheesh, you'd think they could do this a better way for the patient don't you think? What a waste of a day!

I'm finally home now working on a dvd for the end of the school year for our school.
I think it's time to do something for me today, don't you?

Thanks for visiting............Go CAVS!!!
