16th Anniversary Dinner Celebration

Tonight DH and I went out to eat to celebrate our 16th Wedding Anniversary. My sweet Sarah helped me to get ready. I'm not quite 3 weeks from my hip surgery so I still need help with lots of things. Sarah took this picture for us so we could have it for our scrapbook.
We went to one of my favorite Italian Restaurants, which is 3 minutes from our home. There was a lot of walking involved and you don't realize how awful some of the accomodations for wheelchairs and walkers are until you have to use one. From the ramp out front to the ramp inside, which was like a kid's skateboard ramp, and the long walk to the restaurant, then the room with chairs not booths...........oh my, I was ready for a nap by the time I made it to my chair.
I did get my favorites though, wedding soup, lasagna and bread and real butter.
After dinner we went to Parma Hospital to deliver the paper items I made to thank them for all of their help the 4 days I was in the hospital after my hip surgery. Again, a lot of walking, but we used a wheelchair to go up to the 7th floor.
I am thankful to have the DH I have and the kids I have. I know that everyone has times when they wish they were somewhere else, with someone else, but I have to tell you, my family has taken on so much without complaint since I've been home from surgery. I love them to pieces!
Bless you for stopping by.
