Happy Labor Day Everyone

Happy Labor Day everyone! I had fun doing the learn a new technique challenge on SCS. You got to make your own stamp! How cool is that?
Here are the tools I used to make the stamps. I used two different embossing folders with the fun foam. The leaf is attached to the acrylic block with double sided tape. It was hard to take off the block until I ran hot water on it. I will try temporary tape next time.
It's a neat way to use the resources you have instead of buying more. That's a great technique to save some money and be creative at the same time!

I cut out the leaf in foam then embossed it then inked it in durango. The background is a 2x2 cuttlebug embossing folder inked with summer sun. I even tried to do a folder with congrats on it, but it was very hard to read. I used durango ribbon and choc chip around the image and the saying. The leaves were stamped on glossy card stock. The saying is on dimensionals.

I have to tell you that DH and I had a wonderful weekend. Our kids were at a church retreat Friday through Sunday at 6. We had a great time doing things together. It was time where we didn't have any stress due to kids so it was a very relaxing time. We love our kids dearly but we had a great time without them!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well. Thanks for visiting.
Bless you,
