I have to say no matter what kind of day I've had, this sure made my day! It's my Christmas Cactus in bloom, a bit early but it's pretty just the same. There's just something about a flower in bloom that makes my day. Not to mention that this is one I've had a few years and been able to keep it alive, and have it blossom each December!
I had some time last night to made a card and decided to play the sketch challenge on SCS. What a fun one this was. I stamped this little guy in black detail ink, then embossed with clear ep. I used watercolor crayons and aquapainter to color it. I colored the blue with copic marker. The red is sponged on. The berries are puff paint. I added garden green brances from my MS branch punch. I also added the pink buttons to highlight the little guy. I really like this now that it's finished. It started out as one of those that is in your head prettier than on the table. Little by little it came together.
I went to the eye doctor today and he said I have to go back to using the drops again. That's not so bad. He said in the Spring we'll look at my eyes again and see where we are.
Have you had one of those days where you can't wake up? I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open. I may go to sleep early tonight. Thanks for stopping by.

This is such a sweet card.. I have several HM holiday stamps and I need to use them.. Your Christmas cactus is amazing. My aunt has one that was my grandmas and she can get it to bloom too.. I may have to get one and try it as a tradition in our house.. Great job.. Hope your weekend is restful.
