Something Old Something New

Usually you see these words for a wedding, however, I'm using them to depict an old stamp and a new stamp that I've used on cards for challenges on SCS.
The first card uses a stamp from years ago that I received in a lot of stamps donated to our card ministry.  The challenge at SCS was to made a white christmas and use only one color of ink.  No other color in the card.  So I stamped using navy and added a lace border with white bows.  The words have iridscent ice embossing powder on them so they sparkly.  The rest of them have white flocking so they are so soft.  This was a touch challenge for me, but I like how it turned out.

The next two cards were made with a stamp that I just got from Our Daily Bread Stamps.  When I saw the poinsettia and the words for the first time I knew I had to have them.  I used them for another SCS challenge in which you had to use a tag in your card.  Here's my card for the WT247 challenge. I put the image, background, tag and flowers through the big shot to give it a more textured look. the flower was colored with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. I added a tag punch in garden green and poinsettia's in pink and red with a pearl center.

Here is the second card made with that stamp and I used gold embossing powder for the stamped image.  I knew I needed a tag that wouldn't take away from this pretty image from Our Daily Bread. I stamped this in black then used gold embossing powder over the whole card. I colored the flower with pretty in pink and pixie pink watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. The background is tea stained colored ink from Tim Holtz.
I can't wait to play around with this stamp again.  there are so many possibilities brewing in my head.  I thank you for stopping by today.  I can't believe how quickly time is going by.  It's three weeks until Christmas! My shopping's almost done.  It's amazing how easy it is to shop online.  With my hip surgery recovery period extended, it's hard to be on my feet for a long bit of shopping.  Working fulltime keeps me limited too.  So online shopping I do!  Bless you for stopping by to see what we've been up to.  Gotta go check my lists.
