A Matchbook Greeting and Plum Sympathy Cards

This is a wonderful stamp that I picked up over the weekend at a new shop in Medina. I just had to have it for our Card Ministry and for me. LOL I stamped on vanilla with artichoke then added pretty in pink hearts at the bottom and used a dauber to put pretty in pink around the matchbook.

This is the inside of my matchbook. I stamped in stazon black the flowers then colored with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. I edged with black then pretty in pink. I used a dauber to edge with pretty in pink ink.

I love the combination of these colors together. I used the vintage wheel on pale plum and on the white flower. I used computer paper for the scallop circles. I put the layers together with a brad then made my own paper button with linen thread. I used the new punch from SU and added a narrow strip of suede. I edged most of the card with the sparkly gel pen.

This is for color challenge 258 where you had to use pale plum, plum and suede and sketch challenge 268. I love the combo for this challenge. I used the vintage wheel with plum ink on all of the layers. I edged the flower images with black paper. The edges of the larger pieces are faux layers made with black marker and a ruler around the edges. I wanted the look of the black but not the weight and thickness. I used my tiny butterfly punch and a 1/2" circle punch to stamp the sentiment on. I added a small flower and added a gold brad in the center of the flower.
