Happy 14th Birthday Sarah Annie!

Well, today is Sarah Annie's 14th birthday. I can't believe 14 years ago we were holding this beautiful newborn baby.

As is tradition, Sarah and I look through her baby album and retell her birth and look at  pictures and recall memories of her special first day on earth.
Sarah's name and Ben's as well were picked out on our honeymoon so long ago.  We were very worried before we knew Sarah was a girl, that I was going to have another boy, and we didn't have a name we liked at all in mind.  God had it all planned out and at 7:27 p.m. Sarah Annie was born weighing a whopping 9#13 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches long.  What a miracle birth is ya know?  To think God has knit us together in our mother's womb is just amazing.  He knows everything about us before we're even conceived.  That just blows my mind.  It's hard to wrap my brain around all of that.  It's also hard to believe that with all my short comings, God still loves me more than any human here on earth.
My Sarah Annie has my love and God loves her more.
We went to Longhorn's steak house and had a great meal. It's not cheap but we were celebrating Sarah tonight.  We also have a tradition of  picking an ice cream treat as we got tired of cake and ice cream so Sarah chose the vanilla Drumstick cones with the chocolate syrup in the middle.
Here are a few pictures of my sweet Sarah.  The first one says, Lifeguard, mine walks on water.
The second picture shows Sarah holding up her bag of chocolate covered marshmallows.

Here is the card I made for Sarah, then I added Sarah to the card.

Here are the Jumbo chocolate covered marshmallows Sarah made at Lindsey's house. Where do you buy things this big?
Here are some cards I made today from odds and ends I had around.  Little by little my stack in my box of projects is shrinking.

It feels so good to get things done that have been laying around for months in my box.
Well it's time to get some sleep and be ready to ring out the old and ring in the new year.
Bless you for stopping by.

Happy birthday, Sarah!!! The kids ask me at random times to tell me about their births. Clarice just turned three last month. It's hard to believe she's not a baby anymore. I call her my bonus baby because Randy and I didn't plan her, but we know who did! What a blessing she has been to our family! We couldn't imagine life without her.
