This is the first time I let kids go to Peru.
What other first can you think of?
Here's a card that I made following Dawn's tutorial. I made it for today's Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.
This is my take on today’s Inspiration Challenge. I used Dawn's gift card holder pattern found here.
I love sunflowers so I decided to use this old sunflower stamp from Anita's. I've never heard of this company but it is from the 90's and I acquired the stamp through donations to the Card ministry.
I colored the image with Copic markers. Then I used the For You stamp from Stampin' Up and colored this with markers. I punched out the center circle with the circle punch and added it to the center of the sunflower which was originally blank.
I used daffodil paper and peach card stock and designer paper. I used daffodil ribbon to tie the gift card closed. The top note die was used to cut out the gift card holder. Love this and will try it again. Thanks so much Dawn.
Here was the inspiration for the card.
Only 1 more day until kids go to Peru. I'm praying that God will continue to give me a peace and calm about this whole thing.
I started to write a card for each day the kids will be in Peru. I have Sarah's cards done through Tuesday June 28th. I filled each card with thoughts, memories, questions, praises and lots of Scripture to go with the daily ranblings. I hope they don't think it's too corny. It doesn't matter what they think though does it? That far from home they will probably welcome a little dose of 'mom' each day.
Thanks for stopping by,
Blessings,
