They're Home and We Celebrated!

Ben and Rachel are Home and we celebrated by going out with some of their friends to Max and Erma's restaurant.  It was a fun evening.  Their plane didn't arrive until 11 p.m. so it was almost 1:15 by the time we were on our way home.  About 2:00 is when we got to sleep.  It made for a short night to get up and get things ready for our guests today.
This is one of the signs Sarah and her friend made for Ben and Rachel.

Today we had a Homecoming Party for Tim's side of  the family and at the party Tim's Dad gave everyone a picture that was taken for his church directory.  Isn't this a wonderful picture of this 85 year old man?  I never thought I'd have a professional photo of him.  What a wonderful surprise!

I got to talk to Tim's Dad a while today and he's in fairly good spirits.  I know he dearly misses Mom and is lonely.  He is going to visit a senior living facility Tuesday to see what it's like.  It sure would be wonderful to see him spend his money on himself.  He'd love the activity and the friendships as well.  I'm praying that God's will is done in this situation.
Today was also the unveiling of Rachel's Ring.  Ben and Rachel left the party to pick up their rings and Rachel came home wearing it.  It was fun to watch her throughout the afternoon look at it and get used to having it on her finger.  I remember so well the days following when Tim and I picked up my engagement ring.  20 years ago............and now a new generation of weddings in the family.

We have been facing spiritual warfare here regarding Rachel and Ben's wedding and we pray that God will continue to surround us with his protection and mercies.  Here's a song that has helped me today called  You Never Fail by Hillsong.

This evening Ben and Rachel chilled out with pizza and a movie.  Love seeing them trying to enjoy the time they have together without all of the upset from things that are going on surrounding their wedding.

Tomorrow I'll be stamping with Patti, Hope's sister.  I've got to go and figure out what I'm going to do.
Blessing of the Day:A very accepting family time with Tim's family.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
