I got to make some cards today, woot, woot! Take a look.
This card is for Hope You Can Cling To, for a challenge where you had to use different shades of pink like camouflage. This will be mailed with the rest of the cards I make this month to help people with Cancer.
I sponged the different pinks onto pretty in pink card stock. I stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers. I sponged the edge of the image and added it with dimensionals to the card. This is a new Inky Antics stamp set which I got this past weekend at the Strongsville Stamp Show.
I stamped this image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored it with Copic markers. I used a variety of colors for this card since I know many people who have battled cancer. My Dad had lung cancer, sister-tongue cancer, friend-breast cancer, uncle-brain cancer.
The challenge here was to make a card using the color of the ribbon of cancer someone near you has suffered with. I chose multi-colors since I've had family members with different kinds of cancer.
This is a new stamp set for me, from Our Daily Bread Designs called The Porch. It is an older stamp set but I used it at Jan's house and loved, it so I had to have it myself! Got it Saturday in Strongsville too.
The next challenge was to use leaves in your card. I used a stamp punch to punch out 5 leaves then used a dauber to sponge them onto the card. You were to make your own stencil.
I used the scallop oval punch out and sponged cloud in bashful blue. I made a stencil with the leaf punch and used a dauber and poppy parade to ink the stencil with different pressure. I colored the image with Copic markers and used the Floral Framelits to cut it out. I sponged the petals of the flower and added leaf ribbon. The image was added with dimensionals.
This cute bear was made for the technique lovers challenge where you were to make your own stencil using a punch or punches. I sponged clouds onto bashful blue cardstock. Then I used my 5 butterfly stencils and used a dauber to sponge bashful blue onto the clouds. Next I colored Benton with Copic markers and cut him out. I added him a bit sideways like he's drifting in the breeze. I added the butterfly cut outs with pearls to carry the saying. This is another stamp set I got Saturday. It is from Inky Antics.
Blessing of the Day: We closed on the refinancing of our house! Woot-Woot! A lower rate is always good. I thank Tim for all of the hoops he jumped through to get this done. It was a real pain. I asked the woman how many pages in the document to close on our refinancing and she said 120! Seriously? I wonder how many trees had to die for this transaction since she gets her set and we get our own!
Thank you for visiting.
Blessings,
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.
