Three More Added

We finally found the Nativity figures we wanted at a local greenhouse believe it or not.  We added Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus to our front yard.  The night I took this picture I giggled just a little bit as Joseph had a small icicle hanging from his nose.  I know I shouldn't laugh, but I did just a little. :)

I've wanted some kind of Nativity for a long time.  So glad we got 'Nora' the trumpeting angel too, thanks to Sarah.
We finished decorating inside and I wanted to share how things now look.  Sarah and I decorated the family room.  I love decorating the fireplace and mantel.  This year we've added a stocking for Rachel and Annabelle.  You can see Rachel's which is green and has an R on it.  Annabelle's is with Sarah's stocking which is hard to see.  Sarah's is the second from the left.  If you look closely you will see a small stocking on top of it.  Each stocking gets a cute stuffed animal in the top who watches over the stocking until items are removed from it Christmas Day.
Here is the tree which Tim and I put together.  I left to do other things and Tim put the lights on.  However, he tried to CHANGE the colors..............he made it pink lights only.  We usually have pink, blue, red, green, a mixture of colored lights.  I nicely made it known that it just wasn't the same without the assorted colors.  He added yellow to the mix.  I guess next year I'll stand right by him so I can help with colors while it's being done, not after the fact. :)  We put our precious angel on the top.  She usually has to have her wings fixed because they fall off in storage.  This year we kept her in the living room and she was fine!
We actually had a repair table with my hot glue gun waiting.  I ended up repairing a few silk wreaths with flowers that had fallen off, several ornaments and a wooden tea pot.
This is the gorgeous poinsettia Sarah found at the greenhouse the other night.  It is beautifully variegated and has had sparkles of glitter sprayed onto it.   Sarah got one that is purples which looks just perfect in her purple room.
Sarah's been such a big help with decorating the house.  She's also helped me come up with some surprise gifts for the others.

Today I spent a good deal of time making calendars online.  First you have to choose your photos and add them to the calendar.  Then you choose the layout for each page. You drag your photos onto each page.  Then you edit photos so they are centered in the frame they are in.  You add text if you want, then check it all out and finally submit it.  I did this for a gift for Tim,  It is a tradition we do each year for him.  It is one of my favorite gifts to give him.  Then he has family pictures each month to look at.

I'm looking at mine from him right now.  He goes into my laptop to get his pictures for my calendar each year.  I never know what he'll come up with.  I like to do a mixture of current and young kids stuff.

Tomorrow is my good friend Emily's birthday.  Happiest of birthdays my friend!  May God continue to richly bless you!
Here's a fairly new artist to me.  Wish I could have found a video, but nothing but the music was available.  I added the words beneath the image.  Give it a listen.

It's been a while since you smiled, can I see it again?
Broken in, stumbling, you still have a friend, a friend
I'm reaching out, dark clouds get out of the way
Today's the day, it's ok, remember what you've prayed

We walk on water
Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back, get back up and do it again
Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back, get back up and do it again

You standing out on the edge, don't know how to begin
You never know if you don't go, just embrace the wind
The oceans roar and the shore seems far away
The path is laid, come with me, they'll just have to obey

We walk on water
Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back, get back up and do it again
Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back, get back up and do it again

No longer sinking, no longer sinking
I can see the surface now, no longer sinking
I can see it, I can see it, I can see it, I can see it

We get back, get back up and do it again

Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back, get back up and do it again
Don't you let go, don't you let go
When it gets harder
We get back up, we get back up and do it again

Blessing of the Day: Got more gifts finished.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
