A Laid-Back Kind Of Day

Today was a laid-back kind of day.  I started it off with coffee of course and my quiet time on the back porch.  Phoebe, Ben's kitten, always comes out to check on the birds at the feeders and in the bushes.  She's a delight this early in the morning.  She meows and falls at your feet, sometimes wrapping herself around your ankle. She wants to be petted and appreciated.  This always brings a smile to my face.

This card is what I made for Today's Free For All Challenge.  We were to make a one or two layer card only.  I've been playing with this Corner Garden Stamp from Stampin' Up and today decided to try embossing in gold.  It made for a more difficult card because you can't touch alcohol ink markers to embossing or it will smear it.

So I had to color inside each outlined shape.  It wasn't so bad.  I can sometimes watch a movie while coloring things like this at my desk.
This card was for yesterday's Ways To Use It Challenge.  You needed a map on your card.  I think I will use this for one of the cards we make for Operation Write Home.

So glad God is right beside me.  I am so assured when I read these verses.
This is one of the hardest things for me to do; wait.  How about you?  Is it hard for you to wait for the Lord?

I needed to hear this tonight: You're My Beloved by Tenth Avenue North.  Give it a listen and may it lift your soul.

Blessing of the Day: Got to do my quiet time on the porch and walked a mile with Tim tonight after all of the rain.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
