Hocking Hills Retreat

Tim and I took a belated anniversary trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio. We stayed in a place called, The Tree House.  It's a small, family-owned cabin in the woods.  We found out that there was no internet, so we were truly unplugged.  We went into town to the library once a day to connect just to make sure there weren't any work issues Tim had to deal with.
This is the front of the cabin.
This is the back of the cabin.  There is an upper and lower area to stay.
This was where we stayed.  This is the living room.
This is the down  feather bed, which was very comfortable. We had no trouble sleeping on this.
The small kitchen forced one to cook and one to clean up.
This is the pond on the property where I caught 10 fish! Tim baited my hook and took the fish off too.

We visited Old Man's Cave and hiked all over.  I was so sore and tired when we finished.

On our first morning we saw a big turkey eating seed from the bird feeder in the yard.

This is Tribe Time!  Go all the way Cleveland!
Tonight's the night that the Championship begins for the Cleveland, Indians. Go Tribe.
This is the card I made for two challenges. One was to make a folding card, so I made a Z-fold card. The second challenge was to make a card to cheer up a single mom who loves M&M's.  Wouldn't you love to jump into a pile of M&M's?

Verse of the Day: What a wonderful way to reassure us that He's in this with us.  We're never alone.
Love this song by Danny Gokey. It can encourage you and pump you up if you're feeling down.
Blessing of the Day: Tim went to work to find out what is in store for him.  I prayed all day for him.  Staying is going to be chaos for Tim. Not sure what he will do.  Praying for God's guidance.

Thank you for stopping by.  Any encouragement you can over is greatly appreciated.
Blessings,

Your trip to Hocking Hills looks like fun, and the cabin sure looks cozy.
Love your pictures!
Love your blogging!
You and Tim have been in my prayers and will continue to be
Especially during this time of transition for you.
How difficult it must be for you two as you wait to hear about Tim's job.
We, too, have been considering downsizing. We've been here for 30 years and we're getting to the age where it's too much work to keep up. I don't look forward to moving, and we probably won't for at least another year, but it's coming.
May God bless you and your lovely family.
