A Mix of Things

Sunday evening meal. Sunday evening Tim and I were headed to Chipolte for dinner at 6:30 or so. We thought that by then all the people would be home getting ready for Monday. How wrong we were!
There were people out the door! So we decided we'd go somewhere else. What sounds good when you already have your order in your head and you've been thinking about it the whole ride to the restaurant.

We saw Five Guys a few doors down, and there weren't many cars at all there. I said, "That's not a good sign, is it?"  We went in and ordered. We were there right in time. After us were about 20 other people who wanted to eat.

Anyway, I love the fact that I can customize my order and get it hot off the grill and hot out of the fry vat. The fries in the cup were still hot when I got to the bottom of the cup!
This was the best burger/fry meal I've had in a long, long, time.  I was pretty happy when we left there. I'm sure I was happier than I would have been at Chipolte.

We never got to Five Guys since it's not healthy eating, but once in a while it's a real treat!

This is one of my favorite places, San Antonio Riverwalk.  It is amazing filled with trees to shade you as you walk past restaurants, shops and other businesses. I can't image what it is like being there in person for Christmas.  I'd love to see this one day.

Our cats are people cats. They are near one of us when they are not sleeping. Chloe knocked these 12 x 12 plastic envelopes over and proceeded to go under them and push them around the studio. I know that whatever I have is theirs to play with, so I just sit and watch.

Eventually these were in different places on the floor and Tim picked them up. He thought I had put them there! LOl

I was looking for a book mug for my daughter, Brianna. She loves to read. I saw a different one a few weeks ago online but can't find it now. Tim said she'd like this one.  It's cute, but I wish I could find the other one.
This is one of the cards we made at card classes this week. I was showing the ladies that you didn't need to fill the whole card front with paper.

This card was to show the mercury glass acetate Stampin' Up is selling now.  Check out the steam coming out of the cup.

The steam is part of the seaweed from the Smooth Sailing dies.

This is another card we made for class this month. We used the mercury glass acetate. I also used seaside spray ink on the hammered metal embossing folder then embossed it. I used the side without the logo. To me it looked like ice that was cracked.

This was another card we made for class this month. I wanted to show the ladies we could use an image more than once on the front of our card, AND we could use non-traditional colors. We could step outside of our comfort zone and create.

The three trees in the back were added with glue. The two trees on top, were added with dimensionals to lift them up and give a fun look to the card.

This was a gift I gave to my customers. It's a tea bag holder that holds 3 teabags. It was pretty easy to make.

I have my scarves and afghans ready to go to Laura's Home. I ended up with 37 scarves, 7 hat/scarf sets, and 5 afghans. I have used up all of the thick yarn I was given, so now I'm back to blankets and afghans.

I have started a new granny square afghan. It is black, brown, olive and camo colored. This type of afghan goes quickly, so we'll see how it goes.

Blessing of the Day: Today Tim and I got some gift shopping done. He went to breakfast with his Dad and came home with some fun stories.  I told him, he'll be like that some day and our son, Ben will be going home with those stories too!

We are blessed to have Dad still around at 92 years old.

Thanks for stopping  by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom

do you have a tutorial for how you made the tea bag holders? I would love to have it or watch a video.
thanks and Merry, blessed Christmas
For whatever reason I can't get follow up comments so I will just have to check back here periodically.

Pocket Front Card

This was today's challenge on Splitcoaststampers, Ways To Use It Challenge. Sabrina challenged us to make pockets.  I used the tutorial...
