Ways To Use It Challenge

Today on Splitcoaststamers there is another challenge called, Ways To Use It. It can be found

here.  Nancy's challenge to us was to use roses on our card.

I stamped my favorite rose stamp in Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it with Copic markers and Stampin' Blends. I die cut it with the deckled circle dies. I used my blending brush to add mossy meadow to the white circle around the rose to soften the white paper. I used a sponged dauber around the edge of the circle.

I used my blending brush to color in the leaves on the debossed side of my embossed card stock. Then I used direct to paper with the mossy meadow ink pad and pulled it over the debossed side of the paper. I added the circle with dimensionals then added the gold ribbon. I stamped and punched out the sentiment. Lastly I added the brass butterflies.

Accessories: Copic Markers, Su Stampin' Blends, Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder, blending brush, sponge dauber, double oval punch, dimensionals, deckled circle dies-Stampin' Up, Brushed Brass butterflies, SU Gold Striped ribbon

Techniques: coloring with Copics, Coloring debossed side of embossed cardstock

I have to tell you that this is an old stamp from 2002 I believe. There are just some stamps that I don't get rid of when they retire. This is one of them. I like to find different ways to use it now and then. I play around with different colors and techniques. You can see other cards I've made with this in my Splitcoaststampers gallery here.
