Technique Time

 Hey Everybody,

Pam's challenge to us today can be found here. It's a technique called Cling Wrap technique.  You use cling wrap from your kitchen to make the background for this card.

I rubbed Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks-Candied Apple, Broken China and Fossilized Amber on my cling wrap. I spritzed it with the Metallic Mist instead of water to give it some sparkle. When it was dry, I stamped each image multiple times so it would show up better on the watercolor paper. I colored the ribbon with a Copic Marker. I wrapped the ribbon around the watercolor layer then added my sentiment and glimmer dots. I stamped the sentiment on daffodil delight paper then used my double oval punch. Sentiment was added with dimensionals.

Keywords: F4A805
Stamps: Prairie Grass
Paper: watercolor paper, black, poppy parade
Paper Size: A2
Ink: Versafine black, Distress Oxides-Candied Apple, Broken China, Fossilized Amber
Accessories: Stamparatus, double oval punch, black and vanilla ribbon-SU, Taylored Expressions Metallic Mist, dimensionals, cling wrap, Your Next Stamp black glimmer dots, Copic Marker
Techniques: Cling Wrap Background
I've done this technique before and had the same trouble with the cling wrap not really staying where I put it so it doesn't look like much after it dries.  I agree with the person posting the video for this technique that it's hard to wait for it to dry. LOL

Have you ever done this technique? I've been thinking about making small 1/4 page sheets for techniques I do. I used to do it years ago. I'd post the directions with an image of the technique. I would put these on a ring to keep at my desk so I'd have ideas of techniques to do or layouts to use.
The large blank space at the top is where the sample of the technique would go.

  Rubber band Stamping Technique

With a Brayer

1. Pull the roller off the brayer frame.

2. Twist different sizes of rubber bands around the roller.

3. Push the roller back into the frame.

4. Roll the brayer through colored ink or Versamark.

5. Roll brayer onto cardstock. Re-ink if you’d like to.

6. Heat embossing can be done.

7. You can also add color to your paper with a sponge

dauber or blending brush.

8. Rinse brayer in sink and dry with towel.

Would something like this be a helpful tool for you?

Thanks for stopping by today.
