Double Technique Card

 Hey Everybody,

Today's card is a pull-tab slider card. You can find the challenge here. It's also a technique video because I used The Baby Wipe Technique.

I added blackberry bliss, balmy blue, daffodil delight, petunia pop, and azure afternoon reinkers to a baby wipe that was in a plastic stamp case. I did this so when I was finished with this card, I could close the container and use it later the same day. Then I used the leaves from the stamp set, Gently Falling, on the cardstock.

I cut the window out with a die and traced the ends in pencil so I would know where to stamp the sentiment.

I added dimensionals to the back of the image panel. I cut a strip 3/4" x 5" for the pull strip. I pulled the strip all the way to the end so I could read the sentiment then added a dimensional to the paper strip and put the raccoon on top of that.

I punched a hole in the end of the strip so people would know to pull it. This will go on a hospital dinner tray.

Keywords: TLC1073 pull tab card
Stamps: SU-Gently Falling, Unity-Windowsill Woodlands
Paper: white
Paper Size: A2
Ink: memento tuxedo black, blackberry bliss, balmy blue, daffodil delight, petunia pop, azure afternoon reinkers
Accessories: dimensionals, copic markers, paper punch, SU Textured Notes Dies, baby wipe
Techniques: baby wipe technique, pull tab card

Here is what the retired Stampin' Up stamp set, Gently Falling looks like.

Here is what the Windowsill Woodlands stamp set from Unity looks like. It is a current stamp set.

Take a look at your stamps. For the baby wipe technique it's best to have solid stamps. Outline stamps will work but not have the same effect.

Now look at your ink refills. what colors will look nice together? You want to make sure that you don't end up with muddy looking colors when they mix.

I like the look of this technique with white paper, but you certainly can use other colors.

I hope you give this a try.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,

Sue
