This was a full day for us. My Sweet Sarah has an hour and a half horseback riding lesson which includes grooming the horse and getting it ready to ride. That's what she's doing in the first picture. She has to brush, comb and saddle this horse each week. This guy's name is Bumper. I think it's really Bump-Her! He's feisty and was a real stinker for Sarah. He kept trying to step on her toes, or trying to push her with his head, and he didn't want to give her his feet to clean when it was time for that. Sarah had a helper 'cuz this guy has a reputation for being difficult. She really works hard to earn that riding part of the lesson. I think that's the real reason for the smile she's wearing along with the riding helmet. She's won the battle with the horse and will control him once she's aboard him.
Today after area riding, they went outside on the trail. This horse barn is in a park in our area so it's a wonderful place to ride. It was a beautiful day to ride as well. I"m thankful they have the kids do some of the work so they don't think it's easy to have a horse. It's a big expense and a lot of work. I wonder what vet bills are for these animals!
This is my card named after My Precious on SCS. She gave me yet another beautiful color combo to try with this Kitchen Sink Hydrangea set. I used her pinks and blues for the SCS Inspiration Challenge. I love the 3-step butterfly as well. What a cute touch.
This card is a RAK I received from Hope as a RAK. This is the set I got her for her birthday this month. It was funny to hear that she had just put this set on her 'to order' list after a weekend stamping session where she'd seen this sample. Then she opens up her present from me and it's this set. There's no way I knew the stamping weekend story but Hope and I are similar in our likes. It is so funny to know that the week that she put it on her list, she got it from me. Isn't that butterfly gorgeous with the glitter and 3-D look of the wings folded up a bit?
The original idea for this was found by me at Rebecca's Blog, http://bellacarta.typepad.com/
She made Popsicles, so I made ice cream bars for summer. These are the large tag punches, rounded, then cut with the scallop punch. The edges have liquid appliqué on them. I stamped the letters in white craft ink then added white ep.

This is for Hope to see that we're doing our countdown to summer thing here in Ohio.
She just LOVES the fact that we're employed 9 months of the year! She has a countdown to school that she does for us in August, so we get even with her with the countdown to summer now! LOL Hope is my assistant's sister so all the razzing is in good fun.
So glad I could update my blog with goings on around here. I've been sick the past week and it's been hectic as usual. Glad God go me through another one. Even more glad you could visit and see what's going on in our world.
Bless you for stopping by.
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.

Cute card
I've never been on a horse before. A little too chicken I guess.
The second picture where your daughter is smiling really made me smile. She looks so proud.
