A Box, A Punch and Some Brads......

Check it out if you haven't before, Amy's got a fantastic blog with lots to see and do. I took my box from the one on her blog called Wedding Box. Check it out: Amy's Blog
Amy used sahara sand and I used river rock paper and a different stamp and wheel. You can see though, it doesn't matter, you still get a beautiful box. My box also has the ribbon go around the top flap of the box . The flap is closed with a small piece of velcro. This is going to make a nice gift. Not sure for whom, but it's nice to have things around to use so I'm not rushed when gift giving is needed.

This card was for Inspiration Challenge 134. I immediately saw the red and white pillow and the brown and red pillow. That's what this is based on. The white flowers were embossed with white ep. The red flowers were stamped using one of a kind, then punched out with the boho blossoms punch. I used rub ons on the choc. ribbon.

I am experimenting with this thumping with water technique. I'm not sure if anyone else has done this but to me it looks like watercoloring a bit. So, I called it watercolor thumping. Basically you spray your cardstock with water and use your brush tip of the marker and thump it up and down on the paper. The water allows the marker to move as a watercolor ink would. I dried this with a heat tool and went to the next area so I wouldn't get too much running of colors together.

It is once again pouring outside. My son is going with a friend and his family to a state park an hour away for a few days. I'm praying that they are not affected by the storm. The good thing is the dad is a driver of a big rig, so he's used to all sorts of weather to drive in.
Thank you for visiting. Have a wonderful, blessed Day.
