I miss him but have the next poem he wrote for me. I think he did this so I wouldn't be too sad with him gone.
Well here's the next poem my son wrote for me entitled,
Time
There is a lot of time to do what we please.
Most of the time we do it with ease.
Whatever we do it is for the fun,
reading, writing or taking a run.
There are a lot of fun things one might find to do,
but the thing I love most is hanging with you.
It may be for a short time or may be a while,
but whatever we do we'll be hanging in style.
Your time with me is precious as you can see,
It is all worth it; just you and me.

This was today's sketch challenge. I can't believe I got it done the same day it was given!
You can tell school's almost out huh?
I stamped in black then colored the flowers using pretty in pink, rose, banana and celery markers. The turquoise cardstock was mounted on dimensionals. It was hard to find a greeting for this that I liked. I don't usually put my greetings at the top so it was quite a challenge. I stamped grateful then added rub-ons.

Better late than never........I finally got to make this double pocket card. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. I made a bookmark to go with the card. I'm going to keep this in mind when I want to have a gift card included.

This is the first time I tried Watercolor Wash so please be gentle. I used apricot reinker to color the background. I used a darker color at the top and a lighter color for the bottom. I used wwc to color the image. Then I added the black brads. Lavender is the color of the flower and cardstock. The flower is darkened with eggplant.

Tomorrow at this time I will be on summer vacation.
Bless you for visiting.

Your sons poem is so precious. I just want to hug him.
Your cards too are beautiful. My favorite is the first one because of the dark "matting". It is stunning.
I especially like the pocket card, I really need to try one of these for myself.
