Preparing for a Punch Workshop

So I'm going to do a Workshop to show different things you can do with SU punches. Needless to say I've been checking out lots of blogs for this. Here's a great blog to learn lots of things by video. Angie's blog is where I got the purse ideas, and the ice cream bar. Check it out.

I've changed my from a Popsicle like Angie did, to an ice cream bar. I also used the word window punch instead of a real Popsicle stick. I also used the flower from Priceless instead of the fruit. I am going to re-do the purses using current papers, but had scraps and wanted to used those for my practice run.

This set Blossoms Abound is one of my favorites and I'm so sad it is retiring. I love the two-step stamping so I wanted to show this off before it retires. Here I used the scallop punch using eggplant paper and cut it into fourths. Then I used my white pen and added dots.
The card is stamped in amethyst/eggplant and artichoke/celery. I sponged eggplant around the edges and added the gingham ribbon. One of my favorite backgrounds is floral. I used amethyst ink on amethyst paper for a softer look.

This card was a direct CASE from Angie's blog once again. Here is the address:
This is a quick and easy card. I cut my white cardstock at 10 1/2 instead of 11 so it would fit into my envelope.

This is a box I made using the directions from this website. Have fun!
This was very difficult for me at step 18. I asked my son's friend who is 13 to help me and he got it! He showed me how to finish this. I can't wait to see what I can put in here and who the lucky person is who will get it.

Here's the same box opened so you can see the size of it. This is a box made with 12x12 paper. You could begin with any square-sized paper.

Well, it's been a day of rain, a thunderstorm, lots of wind and sun and humidity here in OH.
It's cooled off now and having windows open is a joy. A cool breeze is coming through the window, while cats sit in the window sills and deer come to eat our sunflowers in the dark of night! My kids planted 4 sunflower seeds and they are huge now but we noticed they are being eaten by deer. We'll have to spray them tomorrow.
Blessings to you and yours. Thanks for visiting today.
