Whew.........I was exhausted before the company came. After sitting outside in our humid day today, I was even more tired by the time they left, and I DIDN'T swim!
I finally go to do some card making today.
This is for try a new technique challenge 176. I've never made one of these before so I decided to try this with a star instead of a circle. I took vanilla cardstock and ran it through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots. The red section was run through the friend folder in the cuttlebug. I used silver cord to hand the small star inside the larger star. I added navy ribbon and red brads to finish it off.

This was a book I made after seeing a set of pages made by Debbi in the demo forums. They were to go into a 4x4 coaster book. I changed Debbi's layout a bit and made a 3.5 x 5.5 inch book with a ribbon closure where the pages are put into the small SU bags. When you are running low on something use your wipe off marker to mark it in your book. Then erase once you've ordered.

This is an inside page to show you the small 3x5 SU bags I put these into.

This last picture is my kids having fun in the pool with friends. We had a perfect day for swimming. Yesterday and today are really the first hot days we've had for summer.
We'll all sleep well tonight.
Thanks for stopping by to see what we've been up to.
Today we mailed our packages to Jen Eberle for her great organization who gets cards to soldiers to use. We also mailed a package to a soldier stationed in Iraq from our church. We prayed that God would use the items in the box to bless those that receive it. We're assuming this guy will share with others.
Blessings for stopping by,
