This is my first card in days!!!! I'm so happy to stamp! Thanks for the wonderful challenge Silvia. The challenge was to use a coffee image and orange. I used a cut out of a coffee mug. I hope I'm not disqualified. I have a collection of mugs and especially love pottery mugs. When I shop for mugs I purchase them for their colors, their Bible verse or their flowers. Here's a mug that I'd have on my shelf. I've used Kitchen Stamps Hydrangeas using apricot, marigold, orange and rust for the colors of the flowers and celery, moss and artichoke for the leaves. The butterfly is pink pirouette, pixie pink and lavender. I used my corner punch retired SU, and a corner rounder as well as my cuttlebug. I love texture on a card. The background between the flowers is supposed to be sky which was dabbed with a dauber of bashful blue and turquoise.
I have been saddened today by the passing of a beautiful young woman. Her name was Sam. I only knew her from SCS and she was a brave, fighter with cancer. She loved life and lived her dreams each day she could. She filled her days with laughter, smiles and adventure when she could. Right now her family and friends are mourning her passing, while heaven is rejoicing in her arrival. She is pain-free and at God's right hand. If you would pray for this family that they would lean on God, family and friends to bring them through these darkest of times.
Today at work I had one of those Murphy's Law days.......you know how it goes....anything that can go wrong will go wrong! Needless to say by the time I got home I needed a break. Guess what? Murphy followed me home! I checked messages and found one that said someone might have used our credit card, then I found out Sam had died.
I ate dinner with my family and had coffee with my sweetie, then I requested a night to myself to chill out, stamp and pray. I'm thankful for my DH who is very helpful in these situations. He tells the kids that they have to come to him if they need something. Guess what, all night long they don't need anything! Go figure!
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs to you.
Thank you for your prayers.
