What an incredible gift God has given to us. I was reading 1 John 4:15-18 in my Bible this morning and was reminded that believers in Jesus Christ have God's love in their heart. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
Perfect love casts out fear, was what stuck with me. Knowing God and belonging to Him enables us to battle the fear Satan tries to strike us with. Keeping my faith in Jesus Christ helps me to keep fear away. With His help, I can fight the fears that come. Reading my Bible brings me closer to God.
Ya know, when we do wrong, we often feel guilty and ashamed. It is that guilt that has us pull away from God, not the other way around. Just like Adam and Eve in the garden, we too back away from God. Then we blame Him for being so far away. God isn't the one who moves away. It's us in our guilt who puts that distance between us and God. We're such silly human beings sometimes, aren't we?
This is one of my favorite Christmas pictures.
Happy Birthday baby Jesus! So glad you came to save us from sin.
Our kitties got new beds. They won't go in them with the furry side up, so we flipped them over. Go figure.
This is the card I made for today's color challenge on SCS. The colors were daffodil delight, lovely lipstick and basic gray. This is an old House Mouse stamp called, Mouse Kissing Budgie.
This morning we saw a fox run into the yard. Then he stopped for a few minutes so we could get everyone to the window to see him. We haven't seen a fox in many years around here. What a cool thing. We got Grandpa to hurry to the window to see him too. He probably thought we were nuts to be so excited to see a fox! LOL
Here's the card I made for the Inspiration Challenge. Below it is the inspiration I used to make my card.
This is for mix308 where we had to use clocks, gears, that sort of thing. I sponged distressed oxide inks onto the embossing folder. I spritzed it with water then ran it through the Big Shot. I colored the snowmen and put the card together. I stamped snowflakes in the gears at the top. The gears reminded me of big snowflakes, so I added small snowflakes to the centers. I added liquid applique and heated it to puff it up. The image was added with dimensionals.
Verse of the Day: Luke 2:11
Blessing of the Day: Prayers have helped me feel a bit better about Christmas. I was feeling a bit dead inside and didn't care about Christmas. I'm glad that's gone and I can enjoy my kids and the family.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to post more often now that holiday cards are finished.
Have a Merry Christmas and celebrate the birth of Christ.
Blessings,
