Bits of Heaven Kind of Day

Do you ever feel like God's dropping bits of heaven to remind you He is here?

A few days ago I had one of those days. I sat quietly in the screened in porch we have in the  backyard. We have a garden which is directly in front of where we sit.

First, a hummingbird swooshed by to taste the sweet, pink and purple salvia. It always brings a smile to see such stunning creatures.

Next a plump bunny hopped by and went under the pool deck. It provides great relief from the sun and the hawks that hunt from on high.

We saw the gorgeous female and male Baltimore Orioles at their feeder. They love jelly, the sweeter the better. Sometimes they sing and sometimes they flit in and out of view.

Next, we heard what sounded like raccoons calling to each other. One sounded like it was under the pool deck. The other sounded like it was behind our neighbor's garage.

We searched and searched, but couldn't find the raccoons.

The next day Tim came in laughing and told me he found the raccoon. He took a picture of it.

There sitting on a beam, sat a large, toad! It was right by Tim's ear! They do sound  like raccoons.

There are so many amazing creatures in this world. I'm blessed to be able to sit and watch them in a peaceful backyard.

It's the little things in our lives that make life special.

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 11:9

I heard a new song from Jeremy Camp the other day called, When You Speak. Give it a listen.

I watched this video the other day and was very interested in all that was shared. Jeremy Camp is a Christian Singer and songwriter. His wife Adrienne is also. They discuss their story, their marriage and life together. They are open and honest about their life and marriage.

They've written a book for all, whether married or not. It is full of such great information. It also has photographs and true stories from their life.

Here's a book about Jeremy Camp's first wife, who died of cancer after only 4 months of marriage.
Her story is what was behind the making of the movie, I Still Believe.

Melissa, If One Life ... is the real-life love story of Melissa Camp, first wife of recording artist Jeremy Camp. Her heartrending story is told through her journals and reveals her intimate conversations with God, her extraordinary love story with Jeremy, her walk-through cancer and her supernatural responses to life’s hardest trials. The film, I Still Believe, is based on Melissa’s fun and emotional love story with Jeremy Camp. It is more than inspiring! It is transformational! It restores faith that great love does exist and is worth sacrificing everything for. This book expands the dialog, shows Melissa’s reactions and fills in the details of her remarkable life. It also reveals the mystery of living a courageous life filled with love, joy and hope no matter what the circumstances are.

Here is the trailer for the movie, I Still Believe, which is about Jeremy Camp and his wife Melissa and their struggle with cancer.

I guess you could say I've been stuck on Jeremy Camp lately. I've been listening to his latest music. You know how it goes, you see one YouTube video and it leads you to another, and another, and another!

Blessings of the Day:
I got my quiet time, vacuumed the upstairs and the plant areas. Laundry was done, cards for class this month were worked on too.
Tim got the pool vacuumed pretty well. Tim made dinner for me. He made chicken, corn on the cob and watermelon.
Yum, any meal you don't have to make is much better than all the others! I know I'm blessed with Tim!

Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Bensarmom
