This Was A Slow Catch-Up Week

Sunday, October 30th, my son and his wife held a costume party at the church for Youth Group. It was not a Halloween Party, just a time to dress-up, play games and have a little fun. Baby Mia was Baby Yoda, Rachel and Sara dressed up as characters to go along with Yoda. The Yoda is actually a sweatshirt with the Yoda head as the hood.  Rachel said she's been planning this since before she had the baby.

Halloween Evening, Tim and I watched the Browns beat the Cincinnati Bengals 32-13!  With it being a Monday night game, we were worried that once again Cleveland would lose on national tv.  Not so, the Cleveland Browns pulled it all together and trounced the Bengals! Woohoo! We haven't seen this before this year, so it was a great surprise!  Nick Chubb, is a fantastic running back who gives his all.

This card was made for a Splitcoast double challenge. One challenge was to use fall leaves, and the other was to show wind in your card.  I combined the two.
This card is for two challenges, F4A663 and Mix510. F4A663 is to show windy on a card. Mix510 is to do a fall thanks. oooops, I needed an hang in there card, sorry.
I stamped, die cut then colored my images. Next I used my cloud like stencil made from basic border dies to ink up the sky. I used direct to paper and drew a horizon line. I used blending brushes to blend olive below the horizon line.
I arranged the images on the page with dimensionals. I played around with different ways to make it look like the leaves were moving. (an artist I'm not.)
I stamped my sentiments.

This is Leslie Turner's card which was the inspiration for my Christmas card.

I used similar colors of red/green. I have two rectangle panels which are layered. I added a wreath instead of gingerbread people above my sentiment. I added my rhinestones to the image instead of at the top. I dry embossed my rectangle under the main image. I added designer series paper to my background.

Here is the inspiration for my card:

I used some of the colors, made my image and circles larger, changed the orientation, used the dry embossing on the card base and used different stamps.

This is one of a dozen cards my friend Jan and I made for shut-ins at her church.
It's wonderful to tend to the needs of shut-ins who may feel they've been forgotten.

I've just begun to listen to music by the artist, Tony Aderson. Check out his website: He plays quiet piano music so far. I've only listened to a few of his songs. Thanks Joy for the chance to listen to someone new.

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 40:8

Thank you for visiting,
