Shark Week Challenge

 Hey Everybody,

The challenge for this card can be found here. It was shark week so we were asked to made a card with a shark or something in the ocean.  I didn't have a shark stamp and didn't want to print one out. I also didn't have much of anything ocean related except for shells and seaweed. Then it hit me that I could make a funny card and add texture and interest.

I tore misty moonlight cardstock into strips and glued them together. The waves were colored with clear Wink of Stella. I rolled the edges down a bit to give them dimension. I cut out a shark top fin from black cardstock and added it to the waves. I dry embossed my card base with the Seaside embossing folder.
I printed my sentiment. Not sure who will get this, but I'm hoping it brings a smile.

Keywords: CAS854
Stamps: n/a
Paper: misty moonlight, white, black
Paper Size: A2
Ink: n/a
Accessories: Wink of Stella, printer, SU Seaside embossing folder, scissors

What do you have that is ocean related? What would you use for a card for this challenge?
In the gallery there were many whales, some sharks and some ocean scenes. There are so many creative people that post cards on Splitcoaststampers.

I like that people are also generous with comments on cards that are posted. Have you ever posted a card you've made online?
Let me know if you have. I'd love to see it.
Well, it's time to call it a night.
Blessings,
Sue

Sue, your creativity shines even without traditional ocean-themed supplies! The layered misty moonlight strips make wonderfully whimsical waves, and that clever black fin peeking through is such a fun twist—it made me smile instantly. The embossed background adds lovely tactile charm, and the shimmer from Wink of Stella is the perfect finishing touch. You’ve proven that imagination trumps limitations and turned Shark Week into a celebration of resourcefulness!
