When the Going Gets Tough...Just Get God

Today on SCS I found two challenges that were difficult for me. One was the Monday challenge where you had to made a tri-fold card, and the other was a Pre-VSN challenge #2 where you had to make a wiper card. I had such a difficult time reading and following the directions, even though there were pictures. I was so tempted to give up, but didn't. In each case I stopped and slowly read each direction and tried to make sense of it. Part of me wanted to give up and part of me wanted to tackle the problem and go the extra mile. Well, I'm here to tell you that I finished those two cards and you're looking at them!
It made me think of the times that have been difficult in my life and I've wanted to give up. Times when I know there was a heavenly battle going on and I needed to be strong and continue to pray and encourage myself. Have you ever known something to be true, yet believed just the opposite because you have self-doubt and Satan is at your side telling you lies? He continues with the lies and at times immobilizes us which is a victory for him. When I realize this is happening, I find someone to pray with and talk to. Sometimes we are so close to victory with God, that if we could see how close we were we wouldn't hesitate to go a little bit longer. I pray that you have someone in your life to help you go the distance needed to keep Satan where he belongs.
