Memorial Day Remembered 2010

by John T. Bird of Birmingham, Ala.:

Last Monday in May

We pause to remember those who died with so much courage so much pride. They'll never come back but memories endure to remind us of freedom: fragile, pure. We're worthy of their sacrifice if we pause each day not just on the last Monday in May.

Our Freedom comes at a huge cost to those who have served and are serving in the military.  We pray for them and their families today as we remember the losses which have kept us free and safe.  Thank you God for all you've done to keep us free here in America.
Today I made a tent card from a challenge on SCS.  I think it turned out cute.  See what you think.

This was a quick and easy card to make, called a tent card. This is the challenge for technique lovers challenge today. I stamped the house mouse and colored him with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. then I used 3-D lacquer on the heart. I mounted the mouse on choc chip paper and rounded the corners. I stamped hearts all around in choc chip and pretty in pink. I added flowers from Michael's wedding section and added the choc chip flower brads to the centers. The back of the card says,

A Friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your Heart.......
We've got thunderstorms in the forcast today.  We're supposed to cook out with family.  Not sure what plan B is if we can't cook out.  No worries, we'll figure out something. :-)
Bless you for stopping by.
