Happy Birthday Jane!

Today is Jane's Birthday. Since I wouldn't see her, I dropped off her gift at church when she wouldn't expect it Sunday. She was thrilled and excited to find it at our exchange area. I'm glad I could do that for her. Being single is difficult sometimes especially if you don't like being single. I was there years ago and know exactly what it's like. I just had to finally come to terms with God, (and it took a LONG time to do this)and say, "God if you want me to be single the rest of my life, help me to be content with that." I still can't believe I said that........but I did. Guess what?
About 2 months later I met my soon to be husband...........coincidence? NOT, I know Got was just waiting for me to be obedient. I'm a stubborn one I know. LOL
I stamped a card for the SCS challenge today and it was one of the most difficult challenges for me...........a single layer card. Here is it. It's called the black magic technique because it typically is done on black paper, but I wanted to see what it would look like on white....here it is, let me know what you think.

This is for TLC277 where we had to use one layer only...........ugh......this is one of the hardest challenges there is for me. I used the watercolor trio set and stamped with white ink then dried it with my heat tool. Next I colored it with my SU watercolor pencils. I used three yellows and two greens. I ripped paper and sponged the background in crubcake and bashful blue. Then I took a pretty in pink dauber and added a hint of pink to the sky to look like sunrise or sunset. Next I added yellow ribbon and added three pearls to each side of the knot.

A friend dropped by today to stamp, look at the new things I ordered for Pre-order and look through the new catalog.  We had a wonderful time..........how come when you're spending time with friends like this, time flies by faster than anything?  My work day doesn't fly by that quickly! LOL

I enjoy having friends over.  Kids are gone today, tomorrow and most of Wednesday.  Hubby and I aren't cooking.  We're going out to eat like when we were dating! Lots of fun!  Thanks God for giving us time without kids and allowing the kids to really enjoy where they are too.
May happiness be yours.
Blessings,
