The Simple Woman's Daybook

It's been a while since I did this.  I'm supposed to do this once a week on the same day I think.  Oh well, I do it when I think of it, LOL

Outside my window...it's dark and raining.

I am thinking... I should go to sleep.

I am thankful for... My Heavenly Father and my Father in Heaven with Him.

From the kitchen...it is quiet, not even the sound of a teenager scrounging for their next meal! LOL

I am wearing... jean shorts, a button down top, and tennis shoes.
I am creating... cards to send to people I don't know.
I am going... to go to sleep soon.

I am reading... a fiction book about Amish Life.  I enjoy these types of books.  I learn so much about Amish living.
I am hoping... my headache goes away.
I am hearing... the ticking of my Grandfather's old mantel clock.

Around the house... all is quiet.
One of my favorite things... to stamp cards and mail them.  Wish I could be there when they were delivered to see the looks of people when they get a card from someone they don't know.  I love to send cards to people who need them and post on the Need a Lift Forum or Random Acts of Kindness Forum.

A few plans for the rest of the week: appointments each day.  Tomorrow is pre-admission testing for Friday's surgery.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... this is the cottage where we spent last week.  It was a very peaceful and wonderful place to relax with family.  Now I'm gearing up for Friday's surgery.

Heavenly Father, I pray that you will keep me in your Word and calm me if I start to become anxious about my surgery.  My life is in your hands and you know what's best for me.  Please help me to turn to you and trust in you each and every day.  Thank you for your love and mercy.  I don't deserve anything from you and so I'm every so grateful for your forgiveness and love.
