Memorial Day 2013

Father, This is a day of remembrance of those of have fought and those who currently protect the United States being other places.  We pray for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice; their life.  We pray for those families who suffer with the loss of a love one each and every day.  We pray for those families who deal with a loved one not at home due to serving their country.  Father help those men and women who must run their lives and families alone.  Help them know that what they  do is  important for our freedom as well.  They sacrifice every hour of  every day.  Their loved one loses daily events like first steps, first words, first prom, first hit in a game.  These are things they  can't get back...........I'm so proud to be an American Father.  Thank you for allowing me to be here during this time.  Continue to bless, comfort and provide for those in the service as well as their families.
Amen.

Here's a video I found that says it all:This is a Soldier

We will have Tim's Dad over today for a cook out.  Wish it were going to be warm enough to swim, but not so.  We'll have lots of chances to swim.  Tim worked hard to get the pool ready to swim in for this weekend, but the weather is cooler and even with the heater going, getting out of the water will be awful.

Blessing of the Day:Tim's Dad came for lunch and we had a great time.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,

What a lovely tribute to our service members. I'm very proud to be an American, too! Enjoy the rest of your day.
